I worked with Mike Harvey when I was recruiting for a couple of open engineering positions at Steelcase. I told Mike I really wanted to fill both positions with minority candidates – a real challenge in West Michigan! It was a difficult assignment because the hiring manager was very opinionated, fast-paced and tended toward more classic engineering candidates. Add to this, Steelcase is a very strong and particular culture – let’s face it, we’re choosy! Long story short, after presenting many qualified candidates, both positions were ultimately filled by two African American females who were chosen by the hiring manager because they were hands down the most qualified candidates he interviewed and the best fit for Steelcase! Mike knocked it out of the park. I would recommend Mike as a great guy to work with. He has strong connections, excellent follow up skills, and delivered the best candidates in a short amount of time. What more can you ask for?

For most of my business career, I have led business start-ups, turn-arounds, and high level acquisitions.  Ironically Mike helped me first find individuals/companies that had a need for such action.
